During 2002 we were pleased to be asked to model the capital embellishment for 6 entrance columns. The columns were 3200mm long and cast in GRC to imitate Portland stone.
Interestingly and in true classical style, the columns have an uneven number of flutes around the circumference – twenty-one in total. The leaf patterns correspond to the flutes but the honeysuckle motif matches only once.
